Now; Format your Mobile for Local

Smartphones and tablets are the only computers many people use.

Mobile computing is here to stay.

  • Mobile requires your page to be quick and light
  • Local requires your page to be well connected

How do you address this?

  • Make sure your website shows up properly formatted for a smart phone by looking at it and clicking through it.
  • Make sure that your pages (and your content) is direct and succinct enough to be processed on the fly.
    • Preferably, you can set up alternate formatting for mobile viewers.
    • A benefit of mobile design is that you have less information and must assume that the visitor only has a few seconds. This is a great exercise to force yourself to communicate the main point accurately.

The quote, “The present letter is a very long one, simply because | had no leisure to make it shorter.” has been credited to authors ranging from Mark Twain to Blaise Pascale, but…it’s never been more accurate than with mobile marketing.

Good writing uses less words to communicate better content.
