  • When you click the keywords; it opens (or links) to your site, social media or directory listing.
    • Every time someone clicks, theres a connection that the search engines make a note of.
  • Next time someone searches that keyword; the search engines may recommend you a ttle higher.
    • This s why we track website analytics, If the people who visit that page show (through analytics) to have found what they were looking for (on your website/page), your stock rises on future searches.

Rule of Thumbs: Every link is a vote

The more authoritative the sites the more authoritative the vote. If the mayor says who they’re voting for, it carries more weight than if your neighbor declares it (usually). That is because the mayor is more authoritative in the political realm.
Same with Links.

Create Content: Be where they look
Whenever someone is looking for an answer, there is one place they go—the Internet.

In order to be found, there is a basic requirement: to create some type of content (picture/page/website/email/etc.) from which new clients will be able to find you.

Almost every piece of this chapter is based on using a computer and creating content as a marketing channel. Each of the “streams” listed are potential streams of income. You can consider them marketing campaigns, or sales fines in the water

Any of these tools you have not set up yet are potential lead generating channels without a net to gather the fish. The old sales cliché s that you need multiple ines in the water to get a bite—so cast the hook (or seven).

Set up what makes sense now. Do the work once and bookmark it (save it as a favorite), and you’ll be able to add to it later, when you like.
