The reviews and ratings about a business on search engines are the commodity of our times. We are the first generation of the Information Age. There are rights and responsibilities which are tied to this historical distinction. While it is worthwhile to talk about the grace and mercy afforded to those who’s education and work histories took place before this worldwide perspective and information shift, that conversation must take place somewhere else.

When someone leaves a review, even if it’s just a number of stars, and another person looks at that in deciding whether to use your business – that is a conversation. Writing and reading reviews is where customer service has the best chance to be showcased, and ongoing problems are identified.

Every potential customer looking up your business searches for different factors. A customer sees what they’re looking for. Often that includes other people’s opinions related to that same business/product/etc.. This section has its own heading because Reviews and Ratings are that important.

Get complementary reviews and the highest ratings possible. Ask clients you consider friends. Every search engine includes ratings and reviews, because they are foundational. Get positive reviews.

Customer Service requires timely replies to people who give your business a rating and review. You wouldn’t have a business phone and refuse to answer it. Don’t let your messages to unanswered by ignoring ratings and reviews on the internet’s search engines. Get more positive reviews and higher ratings than your local competition and you win. Get positive reviews.
